Workshops

In preparation. This page says what they are going to be, so you can tell whether they're for you before they exist.

  1. 01

    Reading metre without fear

What a hendecasyllable is, and why you hear it even when you can't count it. Built on Sor Juana's redondillas, which are made of exactly this.

  2. 02

    Rhythm and breath

Where a poem breathes, and what happens when a line breaks in the wrong place. With Darío, who made rhythm an instrument.

  3. 03

The image that holds the poem up

A bird that sings without words. How a single image can carry an entire poem, reading Dickinson.

Why not yet Workshops come after the catalogue, not before it. A workshop needs poems to work on, and Strofia currently has three. When the library is big enough to choose from, the sessions open.

Write to us and we'll tell you when the first session opens. And if you teach literature and want to propose a workshop, we'd like to hear it.
