Public-domain translations

A poem is not translated in passing: a good translation is another work, with an author of its own. Gathered here are literary translations that are already in the public domain — by the translator's dates, not by an opinion — set beside the original, never in its place, with the name of whoever made them and the source they are taken from.

They are not to be confused with the machine translation every foreign poem offers at a click: that is a reading aid made by a machine; these are works. The section starts small and grows just as the catalogue does.

Annabel Lee
